Power BI Desktop includes an almost identical Power Query Editor experience to what you may be familiar with in Excel. There are tons of connections to common data sources, and an extremely powerful language and functionality to transform messy data.
In the video, we will import data from a folder, from Excel and also from a text file. Some basic transformation are made and all the data loaded into Power BI Desktop.
The fact table which is created from 2 files stacked together from a folder has over 900,000 rows of data. This is used as an example of how comfortable working with large data sets (they can be a lot larger) is in Power BI Desktop.
